                                                                          www.rvonlinetraining.com
                                                                                  Tip #1

Never use your range burners or oven as a source of heat! This is the only non-
vented LP gas appliance on modern day RVs. Cooking appliances need fresh air
for combustion and because of the limited supply of oxygen in some RVs, due to
the size, oxygen is depleted and there is a greater danger of asphyxiation. APPLIANCES • SECTION 7

You can improve your air conditioners efficiency by keeping the A/C filters clean.
In most cases you can wash the filters in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly
and allow them to dry before reinstalling. Another option is to clean the filters
with a small hand-held vacuum cleaner. I recommend you keep a new set of
filters on hand in the event the old filters have seen better days.
                                                                                  Tip #3
Portable AC DC refrigerator freezers are great for camping trips. You can fill it
with drinks and snacks and put it outside so people are not constantly going in
                                                                              and out of the RV.

                                                                                  Tip #4
I recommend draining your RV water heater after each trip unless you will be
leaving on another trip soon. If you have a Suburban water heater it’s a good
idea to keep a new anode rod on hand to replace the one in the tank when it is
                                                                               75% consumed.
