SECTION 21 HOW TO SELECT A BRAKE CONTROLLER

There are two basic types of brake controllers. Inertia-based brake controllers use accelerometers to measure
the change in velocity or inertia of the tow vehicle when braking. Time-based brake controllers apply a steadily
increasing amount of brake power, based on the gain setting and sensitivity adjustment specified by the driver.
